Travel Theme : Sports

I found this picture of my old team dragonboat teammate during one of the competition somewhere in Kyoto back in 2007. I rarely do sports or join competition because I’m not really good at it but it was a good, fun experience while it last.

Sporty Weekend

After slowly recovering from colds , I went full throttle last weekend and did 2 of my most beloved sports.

It’s been about 2 years since I last held a bowling bowl so after half a day at work, yes it was a working Saturday, my colleague and I went to the Sakurabashi Bowling Center.

I embarrassed myself. 🙂 On the first game, I was not able to get a single strike and finish the game with 74 points, abomination LOL . On the second game I changed to a heavier ball and was able to redeem myself and got 111 points with 1 strike and 2 spares. So it was not bad and I was enjoying myself immensely, I really do love to bowl if even I suck at it. 🙂

The next day, I woke up really early to host an event for meetup,  a dragonboat event.  There were 11 participants, including me, who showed up and we had a blast. The Kansai Dragon was very accommodating and gave us lots of pointers and basically just gave us a really nice experience dragonboating. Even my friend A and S who were hesitant were having so much fun and where able to row till the very end which made me really happy. We did not get much pictures, since our phone and cameras were locked in the locker for safe keeping but K with her waterproof camera captured some of our moments in the boat.

To B and the rest of Kansai Dragon team who were very patient with us, I would like to say a very big THANK YOU!! .

If you are in Kansai Area and want to try Dragon boat, you can contact them directly at Kansai Dragons<kd@pos.to> for schedule and more details of the team. English or Japanese is okay.

And of course I did not forgot to take some Manhole pictures this time:

Now I am in pain again but it’s a good kind of pain :). Have a great week ahead everyone.
