Then found a cafe near the cathedral which serves this very delicious and refreshing fruit yogurt drink.

A very veryΒ  sweet surprised waiting for me last Valentines days from T. I felt so loved πŸ™‚

A day in the Park

After more than 6 months, N and I agree to meet up last weekend in Sakuya Kono Hana, explore the place and do some catching up. The green house is located inside Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park. When I got there, the fountain was on and there families all around it.
Unlike the normal fountain, where there is a pool of water around it, this one was designed so that families can put on a mat and kids can take a bath or run around playing with the water. Well not only kids but adult also. I came by bicycle so I was really feeling hot and sweaty
and looking at the glorious water makes me want to right in. I had to stopped myself since I did not have any extra clothes or towel with me and I am still meeting up with N.

A hour later, N arrived.

Sakuya Kono Hana, is a green house, which has some good collection of tropical flowers from around the world. They have some very nice orchids, though I did not find any black orchid though, that would have been cool.

They even have the miracle fruit, tambis ( watery rose apple ), mango and banana.

We took a break and had some lunch and some miracle fruit. Yes, the green house has a restaurant inside and you can try the miracle fruit for 600 yen ($6). I do love sour food, but after having this little fruit , I changed my mind. I never knew lemon could be this sweet without any sweetener.

Then we heard a chime, it was time to close the place. We were talking for more than 4 hours already, girls !!! . We were not able to check on the collection of cactus or artic plants or the high elevation plant or the plant eating bugs. I guess I have to back soon πŸ™‚

Yummy mini cakes

One thing I really like about Japanese cakes is the subtlety of the taste. Each ingredients does not overpower the other, you can actually taste them as you take a bite.

I have been avoiding my favorite cake shops. So when T’s special day came , I used it as an excuse to get me some cakes πŸ™‚

Aging beautifully :)

Another year is going to be added to my 30 something age.Β  It’s not depressing me, I am maturing beautifully πŸ™‚ That is my mantra for this month πŸ™‚

Anyways, M decided to have a small party for S, T and Me. The 3 of us are celebrating on the same month.

I decided to make some spring rolls and upside down blueberry cake.

The guest were mostly M’s friends, 8 girls and T was the only guy there. I tried to invite some people but they were busy with their individual lives, so it was just me and T. But it was still fun. I think I ate enough cake to last me a week πŸ™‚

M also gave me a very cute folding fan , just perfect for summer.
