Manhole : Hirakata City

Hirakata City, is located at the northeastern part of Osaka is quite famous for their amusement park that has a roller coaster made wood.

Hirakata City

well it’s very obvious that the big flower on top is the city’s flower symbol chrysanthemum but I can figure it the lower portion. The wooden roller coaster perhaps?

I love Hirakata Park – plenty of fun times to be had. More rides and smaller queues than USJ

I have never been there and actually never heard of it till I started using Keihan Line.

First this a spent waters waterhole. The bottom represents people poling boats and transfering something form boat to boat. Since Hirakata City is inland this must represent a scene on a large river or a lake?

    1. The river is the Yodogawa. There is still the original Inn – Kagiya Inn – where travellers stayed the night. The Inn is now a museum. The area is worth the time to check-out.

thank you very much for that information, i will definitely check it out soon.

  3. This coming weekend – Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th – there is a jazz festival in the area around Hirakatashi Station. Sunday is the better day as it coincides with the flea market. Having attended this festival every year, for the past 9-years,I highly recommend it.
