Hotel Review: Khmer Bed and Breakfast

When I booked this hotel at Booking.com, I was really hesitant since there were no reviews yet but it turned out to be one of the best accommodation in terms of service during our stay in Siem Reap.

When we got to Siem Reap around 3PM , the Tuk Tuk driver was already there patiently waiting for us.  Yes they provide free pick up from the bus terminal to the hotel. It took about 10 minutes to get to the hotel. The first thing I noticed/felt was the homey feeling. The hotel staff were very polite and have a warm smile greeting us.

We got some complimentary drink while we check-in and a few minutes later we were ushered into our room. The room was clean and spacious enough for the two of us. The towels and bathroom were also clean. We booked there for 2 nights and maybe moved to another hotel if we don’t like it but after a few hours we decided to extend one more day.

Service: Excellent. T was loving all the attention from the staff. They helped us arranged our bus reservation to get back to Phnom Penh as well as preparing some bicycle for our trip to Angkor and contacting the same Tuk-Tuk to take us to Tonle Sap.

Breakfast. It was good, but they only have few choices so if you plan to stay longer it might get boring. They do need to have more variety in their free breakfast.

Food. Good and prices are also very affordable.

Location. Convenient.  About 10-15 minutes walk to the market and about 10-15 minutes bike ride to Angkor Area.

They do accept credit cards(Visa) but they still prefer cash.

If I ever have a chance to travel to Siem Reap again, I will definitely stay at Khmer Bed and Breakfast again.
