Lake Tegunuma

The lake is the boundary between Abiko City and Kashiwa City in Chiba Prefecture in Japan. And just like any other living body of water, it start to get dirty when population rises around it. A few years ago the people in the area started cleaning cleaning lake. The water is still murky but it’s no longer stinky. It still has a long way to go before it get completely clean but with the effort of the community, it can be done.
