I went and join the people from my former company for a Karaoke party in TKC yesterday. It was nice meeting again some familiar face and new faces  and talking about the same thing again, bring back memories of my NEC days. So before with proceed to TKC we decided to get something to eat along the way ( I already brought some dinner with me though) . We pass by this store which sells fried food including Karage(fried chicken) and other Yakitori ( bbq chicken) food. Instead of separating our orders we combined them for easy computation.  Then afterward we ask for some chopstick if they can provide some, and then fatso said we can only give you 1 chopstick, then we were surprised since they know that their were 3 people who ordered. I tried to negotiate my way, then fatso started babbling that ‘ what the heck are you saying?? that is the rule of this store’.

I really did not like the way he looked at us and the tune of voice he was using, I would not mind if he just told us , sorry we cannot do that since that is the store rule , it was just chopstick for crying out loud.  But he just would not stop, and me being me just could not stop myself … and that is when the little encounter with fatso started.. Oh he really pissed me off… but I’m trying not to let him affect me , but well i really want to get some revenge with him…

BUT I really had fun …

Made me realize how I missed home already…

he really pissses me off… there is just one biatch here in the office that is really pissing me off lately. he was ok before, but lately he is turning into a really biatch. how did this happen?

well he is going to be assigned to another part of the project so this week I was ask to help him fixed some his bugs if there are any left, I’m not happy about so I was really hoping he will fix all his bugs early this week, I asked him if I have to fixed some of the bugs even though I have not yet finished with my current work, his bugs were to be prioritized… he explained that he is still doing the fixing and just continue with what I’m doing now, so I was relieved. when I arrived this morning, i got some request to edit the database table connected with module, so i asked him if it was ok to do it now , and i really did not like the tone of his voice when he answered me and it really pisssed me off..
I guess I’m just not accomodating today and forgiving ..

grrrrr.. i think he hates my guts, maybe because I’m a girl , prettier than him or maybe because I’m a foreigner still prettier than him and sexier and taller .. I could have told him some beauty secrets if he was nice to me

Shibuya is known as Tokyo’s Fashion District but it caters to mostly the younger generations, you can’t see any Lola’s shopping for the latest fashion, or maybe there are. But did you know that there is really a specific area here in Tokyo where all stores caters to our dear grandpapa and grandmama? Presenting Sugamo…

Sugamo Shotengai

There are really lots of interesting and inexpensive shops inside the shotengai. I was not able to go the end due to prior engagement but you bet I’m going back there.

You can reach Sugamo by JR Yamanote Line or Mita Line and get off at Sugamo Station.

One thing good living in Sakura House is that I get to have some access to Japanese Classical Performance for free.

First Stop: October 11 Tachikawa Citizen Hall .

But first let’s check out what instrument are used during these performances.

KOTO(箏）: 　is one Japan’s Traditional Instrument. In Tachikawa most of Koto used are the 13-strings Koto.

SHAMISEN(三味線）.  Is another traditional Japanese Instrument. It look like a guitar but only have 3 strings.

Shakuhachi(尺八）. Is a Japanase Bamboo Flute.

The performance started around 10:30  – 15:00 . There were about 16 performers in all, some were really amazing but others were simply boring . But I still loved the whole performance although I left a bit early ( around 14:00) because of some prior engagement.

春の海(Haru no Umi) : Koto and Shakuhachi Performance

Before going to R and D’s place for Derek’s first month baby party I decided to drop by Koishikawa Korakuen Garden ( will post more of park later ).  Then I passed by Tokyo Dome as I went back to the train station and noticing all the restaurant made me realize I have not had lunch yet, so I decided to grab something light there and thats when I saw the infamous Kagoshima KuroButa Ramen. It was a bit expensive but what the heck, I can eat KuroButa Ramen without going to Kagoshima .. BUT it probably was not my day , I found out that they serve limited bowls per day, instead I had the KaraMiso Ramen. It was not KuroButa(Black Pork/Pig) but it was still yummmy..

everything is turning digital including books. for people like me who love books, which do you prefer:  real books or digital books?

personal, I still prefer the real books, especially hard bound ones and if i could afford, the first edition ones…but I won’t deny the fact that e-books is/are convenient. if you are traveling around, carrying a couple of books is both heavy and space consuming.

so what are available in the market today??

1. Kindle by Amazon . When I first saw this one in Amazon, I immediately fell in  love it, unfortunately that time, Kindle was only available in the US but now, with 3G wireless technology it is now possible to Kindle outside U.S.

2. NOOK .   From Barnes and Noble, this one really looks like Kindle. I’m not sure which came out first though.

3. Ipod Touch.  With hundreds if not thousands of application readily available for Ipod , its not surprising to know that e-book reader is also available. Just need a wi-fi connection and your are all set. Classic books are readily available for download.  And since its IPOD, you still have your music, video , games and etc.

These three cool gadgets are almost the same prices, but looking at each feature, I think I would probably go for IPOD touch…

together with corrdump, kamy, sepe and the cavada’s we spent a day in yokohama last summer , eating an eat-all-you can lunch at china town where we swear never to eat another piece of shomai for a long long time..
